Description: Made in the late 50s or early 60s in West Germany for Kodak when they were trying to complete in the quality camera market with emerging brands like Nikon and Canon. They saw this as a less expensive high-quality alternative to a Leica, then the Rolls-Royce of 35mm cameras. Fantastic precision build quality with real leather covering. Virtually no wear, as seen by the closeups of the film rails and pressure plate. There was a stick-on label on the back (you know how old soldiers are!) and when I removed it, it appear to damage the surface of the leather. I haven't tried to restore it. Otherwise, the camera looks like it just came out of the PX! Comes with its original, like-new, 50+ year old case! Bought new by my father-in-law while in the military, probably in Belgium, then stored after just a few rolls were shot while in Europe. The value range for this camera is $90 for a well-worn example, to $300 for a museum piece. This one is VERY close to a museum piece.
