Description: For sale is an exceptional large and intricately hand chased Moroccan samovar. The samovar made for tea. This Samovar sat on a mantle as an antique decorative item in the estate from which it came from in Orange County of the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. We do not clean antique items so this piece is directly out of an estate and has been only lightly cleaned off for picture purposes. You will need a good detailed cleaning and polishing to bring out the best in this item. We are unsure if the piece is usable and functionable so we are selling it for its exquisite design function. The piece having an intricate detailed hand chaised and scrolled surface with varying patterns and designs. Please see our close-up, detailed pictures for the exceptional hand tooling on this samovar. The surface of this piece seems to possibly have had an original Gold wash to it. You can see areas of gold toning towards the base section. The overall piece having a rich silver color. We don't see any markings for silver so we sell this as a silver plate samovar. There is a stamped marking on the base of L Z (see pics) The piece having four overall individual pieces to it. The water spout being intact but having some wiggle to it at the attachment area. One of the handles having a little bit of wiggle to it as well. Overall, the piece displays exceptionally well. The surface having some obvious old silver polish residue.
