It has previously been displayed in a smoke free home for a very short time and was stored in a sealed and clean environment the rest of the time. It is in beautiful condition! It can either be hung by a tapestry rod/pole through to rod pocket/pole sleeve or by the metal stays on the back without a rod (as seen in photo). I've loved this piece, as have all my guests, as it hangs in my guest room. I'm downsizing and will no longer have the space for this gorgeous tapestry. Seller pays shipping insurance. The Temple and Terrace Italian tapestry is woven at Lake Como, set in the late 18th century and features gardens of the Villa d'Este at Cernobbio originally built in 1568. For over the past 100 years it has been an exclusive hotel, still set in the majestic lake-side grounds. These include Renaissance arches, a temple, ruins, statues and fountains. Woven in Italy, lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
