Legends Pardell Good Company Duck Pheasant Bird Dog Labrador Shotgun Sculpture

Description: Up for auction is a beautifully detailed hard to find vintage 1987 metal mixed media limited edition "Good Company". This sculpture is of a hunter wading through the water with cattails and his dog. He's wearing a hunting cap, jacket, boots with a duck / bird call around his neck. He's heading to his duck blind holding his shotgun and has his best friend and loyal companion his black Labrador retriever. Mounted on a wood base by Legends & artist C.A. Pardell. The sculpture measures approx. 6 3/4" tall 5 3/4" wide and 5 3/4" deep. The sculpture is stamped "Good Company 1987 Legends USA 452/2500 C.A. Pardell" and it has a Legends seal on the bottom that reads "Certified Limited Edition Legends Mixed Media 1990" see pics. About the Artist: Christopher Pardell (20th century) was active/lived in United States. Christopher Pardell is known for Indians and cowboys on horses sculpture. Christopher Pardell began sculpting at the age of four, and by his teenage years, he had come to the realization that sculpting was to become his life's work. Influenced by the work of sculptors Russell, Remington and Rodin, Pardell wanted to pursue his passion for realism. His formal education was laid aside in favor of an apprentice moldmaker position with a commercial statuary company, and it was there that he received what he considers to be his "real education in art." As an apprentice to the Italian master artisans who ran the statuary, Christopher rapidly learned the skills that would enable him to become a skilled sculptor. Never sketching his designs on paper, Christopher composes all of his work in three dimensions, in a maquette. Here is some info about Legends mixed media process:Mixed media is a combination of various fine metals such as lost wax bronze, fine pewter, brass, copper, 24 karat gold vermeil and various hot torched acid patinas such as black nickel, rose copper, and turquoise, to highlight the sculpture. In addition, the sculpture may contain embellishments such as Lucite. I acquire my items from local auctions, estate sales etc...I try to describe them to the best of my ability for any damage.
