Description: LISTED HERE A MAGNIFICENT LARGE HARDBACK PICTURE FROM THE ARCHIVES. HISTORY OF RAILWAYS WLWR 4--0 No 53 Jubilee and MGWR 6-0 No 82 Clonbroek about 1899. Thc three Waterford, Limerick and Western Railway 4-4-0s (Nos 53-55), designed by. Robinson (of later GCR fame) and built by Kitson & Co in 1896-97. were a particularly handsome design. Here we see No 53 on a passenger train passing through Athenry, an important junction where the WLWR from Limerick to Sligo crossed the MGWR mainline to Galway. MGWR No 82 was one of 42 standard 0-6-0 goods engines built-in 18115-95. Cionbrock was built at the Broadstone works in 1892 and as at No 583 lasted until 1963 MOUNTED PRINTS are identical visually to a regular paper or photographic image but enhanced with an extra-rigid backing to provide stability and protection.
