Description: Roses and Lilies Needlepoint Kit, "Orange Lilies" (one of a pair of kits, the other being "White Lilies) created by It's Polite to Point (Severn, MD) in 1992 for the museum shop at Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson in Virginia. The design was inspired by a piece of floral printed chintz from the 19th century used on a chair cover in the museum's collection. The design features a spray of flowers with orange lilies, roses and other blooms against a geometric background. The kit is NEW, complete and unopened, with marked canvas for a finished piece measuring 14" x 14", suitable for a pillow or framing, and 100% Persian wool in 14 colors: oranges, ivory, browns, greens and blues.
