Multi Strand Cascading Waterfall Faux Pearl & Diamond Necklace Valjean Gorgeous!

Description: Up for sale is a vintage faux diamond and pearl necklace with paisley clasp from the Prince “DIAMONDS AND PEARLS” music video. (Warner Brothers. 1991). The erotic and artistic music video for the lead single from Prince’s thirteenth studio album. Prince handles the elaborate prop necklace during contemplative solo sequences. This video can still be seen on YouTube. The top of the necklace is designed with four (4) strands of faux pearls attached to a silver metal deco style paisley clasp set with baguette and round faux diamonds (rhinestones). It has twelve (12) dangling strands with teardrop pearls at the bottom. The necklace in the Heritage Auction photo indicates it was an original prop necklace with provenance and acquired in the mid 90s. Heritage sold it on June 29, 2016. Another “DIAMONDS AND PEARLS”necklace was sold by RR Auction. Their consigner said it was acquired directly from the jewelry maker and that Prince’s wardrobe department, used it in the music video. It was authenticated that their necklace was screen-used by Prince in the video. I cannot attribute that my necklace was in a prince video although it is EXACTLY the same as in the video, and of course they had to have more than one available for it. This vintage necklace was made by “VALJEAN” Company in the 50s/60s as shown in the photo with the ad. Also shown is a photo of the beautiful Dita Von Teese on how it can be worn. The prop necklaces have sold for big money. ($3,000 to about $10,000). This one is in very good preowned condition. I do not see any missing stones or damage. There is appropriate wear for its age. I did not try to clean or polish this item. I leave that to the buyers preference. The pearls are knotted between each one and they are not heavy.
