Description: This is the Mystery Ranch "Load Distribution System" Flatbed Pack. This was a collaboration that Mystery Ranch did with another company. They would not tell me who the other company was. This is a much lighter flatbed than there there more common one available on their website. It has a very unique flexible panel that was designed to wrap around some type of load. When the panel wraps around and is strapped in place it holds the load above the belt which would allow for a butt pack or some other pouch to be worn? I really do not know the full story and I would love info on the pack if someone out there knows more. The hip support fits into the belt just like the normal Flatbed but the belt is a different belt. It would actually allow the pack to be quickly removed and the belt to remain on the soldier/sailor to be worn like a typical Padded Battle Belt which may be the real purpose of the design.
