Description: National SW-54 RadioCirca 1950 Parts/Repair This is an iconic short-wave 4 band radio covering 540 kHz - 30 MHz, AM, CW. It was made by National Company in MA. I've owned several SW-54's. they are great radios, lots of fun. Heavy, well built, American-made multi-band radios. This one was tested on a variac for this listing. It powers-up and hums. Very limited reception. It is missing the band-switch knob but the switch does work (it changes the band selection). The case is "Hammertone" painted gray steel and it is dirty with a minor ding on top.
