Description: This is the ORIGINAL & BRAND NEW Dolphin 1989 BRASS Pipe Lighter comes with a sock, flints, and a hex-wrench. This is the lighter I use almost exclusively and for good reason. It is finished in handsome brass and is weighty in the hand. It is almost impossible to char the rim of your pipe with its impressive design. The new lighter you will receive is empty, but readily filled with Ronsonol or Zippo lighter fluid (not included). It comes with replacement flints, but will accept standard Zippo flints and wick for your long term enjoyment. A hex-wrench is included and a black drawstring sock will keep your lighter kit all together for when you need it. I am also able to service these lighters also, should you ever need to have anything replaced, just contact me. Those of us that use them, find them to be the ultimate pipe lighters. A nice even flame that you draw into the bowl for even lighting of your tobacco pack. Also, you get that perfect top singe on the tobacco before tamping it fully down. Jet lighters are very hard on briar, create excessive heat and add to rim char. Not so with this gem. Even lighting without briar burns and excessive heat to your fine tobacco and pipe! I won’t use any other lighter on my Meerschaums, period. If you haven’t tried an original Dolphin 1989, you are in for a treat in lighting your pipes. As a humble restorer, I have seen what lighter damage does to pipe rims and bowls. All of that is avoided with this practical and handsome lighter that uses standard flints, wicks and fluid.
