Description: Last year I lost a close family friend to cancer and his mother gave this to me. Her son and I used to love working on consoles and refurbishing them back to working order. He knew how to solder and do all of the most difficult repairs while I mainly just cleaned them & watched haha. This was one of the main projects that he was hoping to get going being that he was a massive Gamcube fan! I remember that this console had issues reading discs. He had replaced all of the capacitors on the optical drive board, installed a new battery and installed the Xeno mod chip which makes it able to play any games from any region. However it still won't read any discs.. probably needs a new laser? I'm not tech savvy like that and I would like this to go to someone who loves the GameCube as much as he did.
