Description: Vintage Polaroid SX-70 Pronto! Land Camera with Accesories Lot (Tested/As-Is) Description Up for sale is a vintage Polaroid SX-70 Pronto! Land Camera that comes with its original carrying bag/case along with its manual and other documentation. This camera had been sitting around the house for the past unknown number of years (decades actually) and just a couple of years ago I wanted to see if it still worked by purchasing a box of color film for it along with an additional black & white cartridge and a GE flashbar (which are all also included in this lot). The color film cartridge has been loaded into the camera and I think I took one photograph (or maybe two... can't really remember) out of the eight that came with the cartridge; simply as a means of testing out the camera in order to make sure that it still worked. And while it did produce a picture, the result was very blurry. I'm guessing either there's something wrong with the focus on the camera, or I did not adjust it properly (as there is quite a few tips for getting sharp images written on the manual that I wasn't aware of at the time... as I had not found it yet at the time of the purchase for the film cartridges). The other thing that seems odd is that the film counter is on 9; but there were only a total of 8 exposures in the cartridge (which is designated as SX-70 Polaroid color film 6004, while the additional black & white cartridge is 6005). I also didn't notice if the GE flashbar was working at the time I took the shot... maybe it was because of this add on that the picture came out blurry, for the flash might have drowned the image out or something. I really can't say for sure; but I do know that both the flashbar and the film was brand new, so maybe there's another issue with the camera that I'm either overlooking or something that I'm doing wrong. One of the box-like textured strap locks for the camera unfortunately snapped off at one point and just split in two. There's only one remaining piece which I managed to save which is included in this lot. I figure it can be restored somehow using a 3-D printer or something. The carrying case/bag also appears to have some missing teeth on the zipper; making it a bit of a mission to zip up. Besides these minor cosmetic blemishes, one of the original sets of documents that came with the book; which appears to be a catalog of Polaroid related products with the header of Limited Time Offer for New Pronto! Camera Owners also has some water damage to it; the kind that made the pages stick to themselves and then were unexpectedly ripped off at one point when the book was forcibly opened. Luckily, the original instruction manual doesn't seem to have this issue... but it does exhibit some signs of wear on it. Additionally, the original registration card is also included here and it looks as though it has never even been filled out. Go figure! Furthermore, I'm not quite so sure when this camera was manufactured... although I do see a 77 printed on the manual next to the model number (or document number). So perhaps it's originally from 1977, sold by Sears Roebuck. While its condition is partially tested and seemingly working, I cannot say for certain whether there are no other mechanical issues with this camera that may affect its overall functionality, so therefore I'm selling it as-is and pricing it accordingly (including the cost of the both the color and black and white film cartridges as well as the GE flashbar and the estimated value for the camera itself along with the carrying case, etc.).
