Description: When I first acquired this pair of heavy lamps, I assumed that the bases were actually green marble on brass. It wasn't until I set them up for taking photos that I realized that the 'marble' section was trompe l'oeil on wooden cylinders. The rest of the lamp is brass urn shaped shaped vessel adorned w/ dragon or serpent head handles. Despite the fact that the base is partly faux marble, these lamps are substantial. Both lamps work and there is no obvious damage to the chords. One of the sockets is a bit loose but is easily snapped back into a secure position if bumped. The lamps measure about 30.5" to the top of the finial. Please look carefully at my photos as they are your best description and ask questions before you bid.
