Description: You are looking at a rare Heuer watch. This watch predates the merger that eventually led to TAG Heuer. This is the black faced Tag Heuer 980.038 women's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. I am a Tag Heuer collector and I own over 225 Tag Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. It is the women's size tag watch with a case size of about 28mm (32mm crown included). The crystal is in fair condition with several scratches. The back casing is in good condition with light wear scratches. The bracelet is an aftermarket black leather band. It is in excellent condition with little to no wear. The bezel is in excellent condition with fine scratches. The hands look excellent. I would rate this true survivor as a 6 out of 10 in condition. The watch will fit up to a 7.5 inch wrist. The bezel turns hydrostatically in both the clockwise & the counter clockwise directions. This model has a quartz movement that is 200 meters water resistant. The date will not move manually. It will move automatically on its own when midnight comes. I always recommend having seals tested before wearing in water. Due to the age of this watch I would not recommend wearing in water.
