Description: This watch pre-dates the TAG Heuer merger. This is the black faced Heuer 980.043 men's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. This is a men's size Heuer watch with a case size of about 37mm (40mm crown included). The crystal is the original plexiglass. This model was produced with a plexiglass crystal. The plexiglass is in very good condition for its age with fine scratches throughout. The back casing is in excellent condition with light wear scratches around the outer edges. The strap is a brand new navy blue nato band. It is in new unworn condition. The bezel is in excellent condition with fine scratches. The highly desirable red and black "coke" bezel looks super cool. The hands have darkened a bit over the years. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 9 out of 10 in condition. This is one of the few examples of a 980.043 I have ever seen for sale. The watch will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist. The bezel moves in a hydrostatic motion, in both the clockwise and the counter clockwise directions, as it should. This model has a quartz movement and it is 30 meters water resistant. I would recommend having seals tested before wearing in water as a precaution and to double check any issues, it is an old watch. Due to its age I would avoid wearing in water until thoroughly checked out.
