Retails in the $15,000 range in today's market. This vintage piece is a beautifully proportioned and designed Provincial style buffet/credenza. Nine drawers surround a pair of doors that swing open from the center, revealing open storage with a single shelf. The front of the piece has a dramatic but refined serpentine shape, with a shaped skirt below. The sides, and center drawer and doors have an inset panel design. The finish is a painted cream color, with a greyish stried finish. The cool blue painted designs are done by an expert hand, and the effect is truly stunning. In immaculate original condition. Structurally perfect. The top is almost without any visible signs of use - as are the front and sides. Some minor wear and vacuum cleaner dings around the front feet, but very minimal and these have been touched up. No smoking, no pet home. The original metal label inside the drawer is missing, but the ghost of the word "Karges" remains. We are also offering the matching breakfront/display cabinet/desk in another listing.
