RARE 1930s Arranbee R&B Nancy Composition Doll 13" in R&B Box

Description: RARE c.1930s Arranbee R&B Nancy Composition Doll 13" in what looks like an original outfit and Arranbee box. The doll itself is unmarked. This petite lady is such a sweetheart, dressed in a luxurious pink-lace gown with metallic thread, complete with a matching cape, a purse, and a fancy hat. She has flowers in her hand, and silver oil-cloth shoes and socks. Her outfit is in excellent condition with minor signs of age and wear, like loss of metallic sheen on the folds. The outfit looks factory made consistent with Arranbee signature quality craftsmanship. Her socks have brown stains and a hole. Her shoes are in great condition with some minor wear on the soles. Her composition, while overall not bad for its age, has problem areas with the top layer of paint warping on her back, arms and legs- possibly from heat in the attic (?)- see close up photos. Her stringing is loose, she cannot stand on her own. Her brown tin eyes work well and have all eyelashes. There are shallow craze lines on her face. Her blond mohair wig is full and has original curls. She comes in the R&B box marked "Nancy - Pink - Brown Eyes". The box is not in a good condition but is still holding up. The Arranbee book by DeMillar/Brevik shows a similar Nancy but in a different outfit. Her face also looks very similar to Madame Alexander Betsy doll. Please look at the photos for more details.
