Description: Listed here is a circa 1940’s American Aircraft Album published by The International Aircraft Photo Service. 120 vintage plane pics are included - the vast majority are mounted within the book itself and several are loose (see pics 8+9). Presented on heavy-weight kraft paper and bound by brass screw tacks, the book features several preceding, explanatory pages followed by many pages where pics of planes are mounted or could be. There are multiple pages that are empty / lacking plane pics (detailed below), so please bid/purchase accordingly. The 120 pictures present are what is mentioned on the cover of the book itself. Present Photos: As follows;Plane pictures 1-72, 97-108, 205-228, and 265-276 are present and included. Pictures numbered 207, 212, and 265-276 are loose photos and are not presently mounted inside the book. All other listed pictures are mounted inside. One or two of the mounted pictures are semi-loose are could probably use additional fastening to prevent them from falling out (see pic 10). I will leave this to the buyer as it may be a matter of preference.Plane pictures 73-96, 109-204, and 229-264 are NOT present and are NOT included. As I understand, these may have been part of additional ‘packs’ to be purchased separately. Condition: Overall good pre-owned condition. Light yellowing with age. A ‘scuff’ on the front cover. Some creases and bends from age and use. Minor flaws here and there, but nothing overt (i.e. no torn-out pages, no water/mold damage, the 120 pics mentioned on the cover are present). As mentioned above, some photos are not mounted inside yet but are loose. Maybe two plane pictures within the book are still affixed but are quite loose are should be reinforced. For an 80-year-old paper-bound book, I’d say it’s in really nice condition. That said, please don’t hesitate to ask any additional questions about the condition you might have prior to purchase. Measurements: 12 ¼’’ long by 7 ¼’’ tall. The plane pictures are each 2 ¾’’ by 4 ¾’’. Due to the value of the book, it will ship with signature confirmation.
