This plant was built in 1941 and was designed for the Manuafacture of aircraft to support the United States WW II war effort. In all, 1585 B-26s and 531 B-29s were produced in this plant, including the famed ENOLA GAY and BOCKSCAR. The purpose of the wooden floor was to eliminate static electricity—a rare item to find. The wood block measures 5 5/8 x 2.75 x 2 inches. Please review the pictures carefully, as they are also part of the description. I'm selling my husband's military collection, which he has collected for over 60 years. I have been selling his collections on eBay for about 20 years. My husband taught me about his items for many years, so I will continue selling his items. I'm selling his collection because he has passed away due to a medical condition he has been suffering from for many years.
