Description: A useful set of 11x Indian made, British army GENERAL SERVICE BRASS BUTTONS. This batch consists of 5x large (23mm) and 6x smaller (17mm) buttons - enough to fit a soldier's WW1 Service Dress Tunic. These buttons are all Indian made, and could be from different manufacturers (difficult to read the backs of some of them). The Indian made examples are slightly less better quality than those made in Britain, but these are genuine old buttons (not modern copies), and would have been found being issued, especially in the Middle East and Far East during WW1. Issued, used and worn whilst in service. Some slight surface wear/aging, otherwise - Good detail and in good condition considering age (WW1 period).
