Description: Before Lorcana there were Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom trading cards! For sale here is a lot of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom spell cards (cards 41-60). There were 60 cards in the set which were available in packs of 5 which were distributed for free to visitors to the Magic Kingdom who wished to play the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive game throughout the park. Plus, additional cards (cards 61-70) were available randomly with purchase of a Trading Card Game Booster Pack. PLEASE NOTE, cards 1-40 and cards 61-70 are NOT INCLUDED in this sale. A little about the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom was an interactive game attraction for the Magic Kingdom that debuted on February 22, 2012. The game focuses on Merlin recruiting park guests as new apprentice sorcerers and sending them out to battle various Disney villains, recruited by Hades, throughout the park's themed lands using special spell cards. On January 7, 2021, it was announced that the game would be shut down as a result of “changes in guest use of mobile technology” and a general decline in interest, with the game’s final day being January 24th. There were seven different types of Spell Cards: (Charming, Energy, Flying, Gross, Quick, Strong, and Wishful). These different types mattered at the medium and hard levels of the game. Each card is numbered and contains a symbol indicating its rarity. Symbols can be Stars (cards 1 -22), Moons (cards 23 - 40), Planets (41 - 60) or Lightning Bolts (61 - 70). Cards 61 - 70 were only available in "bonus packs", which could be purchased at various locations in the park (cards 1-40 and cards 61-70 are NOT included in this sale).
