Thus, a channel was created to channel more airflow and cool the head. When a helmet is impacted in a crash, it disperses the energy of the impact. In traditional helmet design, the more foam (EPS material) used, the better the dispersion. AirCage is a technology that connects the left and right sides of the helmet with cables woven from aramid fiber and secured at both ends to carbon fiber side panels. When the helmet collides with the ground in a crash, this technology takes the localized impact and distributes it throughout the helmet like a suspension bridge.
