Starrett No. 714M 50mm - 150mm interchangeable anvil micrometer

Description: Here is a Starrett No. 714M 50mm - 150mm interchangeable anvil micrometer that is in excellent condition. This micrometer has been used??? Obviously not very much. You have to look pretty hard to find any imperfections anywhere on it. There are a few problems with this set. There are no standards or small adjustment wrenches that are included. The digital display does not work. Numbers can be seen, they make no sense to me. Hopefully someone can reprogram it?? Please don't let these issues detract from what is otherwise a very nice used micrometer set. You can still read this micrometer without the display. Just like you do with a normal micrometer. The thimble spins easily without any hesitations. Smooth! The interchangeable anvils look great. They are not carbide but the anvil ends look as if they were mirrors. This is demonstrated by the reflection of the dollar. The wooden protective case has done a very good job of protecting these tools. The previous owner wrote on the case and there is a few scratches and scuffs. It is well built, opens easily, latches shut, and holds these tools securely. It will continue to protect them for many years to come. Please look at all of the photographs as they can help describe the condition of this metric micrometer set much better than I can.
