Description: You are looking at a very rare TAG Heuer. This is the black faced TAG Heuer 980.006N men's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. What makes it super rare is that it is the Jumbo version of the 1000 men's models. These models were made for a very short time. They are in high demand due to their 42mm case and vintage look. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 Tag Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This is a men's full size TAG watch with a case size of about 42mm (45mm including the crown). The crystal is in perfect condition with no scratches. The crystal was upgraded to a sapphire crystal by a certified watchmaker years ago. The back casing is in good condition with typical light wear scratches. The bracelet is the original TAG stainless steel jubilee band. It is in good condition with light wear, scratches, and mild stretch. The clasp is in good condition with light wear, scratches, and desk rash. The bezel is in very good condition with light scratches. The hands and hour markers look excellent. The hour hand has a speck of lume missing from the arm. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 8 out of 10 in condition. These are hard to grade since you don't see many for sale. A new aftermarket jubilee band would be an inexpensive upgrade that would make this watch look so much better. This is the nicest example of a 980.006 I have seen in a long time. Most are really beat up, but not this one. This one is ready to wear. The watch is all original and will fit up to a 7.95 inch wrist. If you need extra links I can sell you some at $85 per link. It also has the wet-suit extender which allows someone with a larger wrist to get it on. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has a quartz movement. All time and date functions work perfectly. It has always kept perfect time. My local watchmaker just serviced the watch & installed a new battery. It is ready to go another 30 years. I always recommend having the seals tested before wearing in water. I do not guarantee water resistance in a watch of this age. This is 100% authentic. Be careful because there are a lot of sellers on eBay selling fake TAGs from the UK, Japan, Canada, Bulgaria, Singapore, and even the USA.
