Description: Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~**~ This is a cool and weird piece, super fun! THe outer fabric on this bodice is a really interesting textural lace netting that feels like it definitely has some wool in it. There are amazing lace trimmings on this piece (see photos). This is a Victorian bodice, dating probably around the 1880s or so. The piece is heavy; the material has a lot of great structure. The bodice has boning inside; it is probably steel as there are some small rust stains (see condition details). There is a dressmakers stamp on the waist tape that reads "Mme. A Grateau / Robes et Manteaus / Charente", although I cant read it entirely. This piece has such amazing character and could be great for wear, study, or display! MEASUREMENTS : Length: 18 inches long Chest: 36 inches Waist: 32 inches Shoulders across the back: 12 inches Sleeve length: 25 inches ~*~ CONDITION : This blouse is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. As stated above, there are a few rust stains on the inside boning channels. There are also a few areas where the lae is delicate, but overall this piece is really in fantastic shape.
