Description: The Picture Book of MotorsPublished in London by Ward, Lock and Co, Ltd. Undated, c1930s going by the illustrations. Assumed First edition. Bound in the publisher's hardcover illustrated paper covered boards, worn to the edges and corners. Brown cloth spine with minor wear to the ends. Inner hinges cracking. Prev owner's inscription to the upper inner cover. Pages lightly toned, some light toning and spotting, but generally in good order. Ward, Lock & Co., produced a number of picture books for younger children under the Rainbow Picture Book title that featured animals, aircraft, fairy tales, bible stories & motors & motoring. May have small flaws, and has probably been read, but should appear overall clean and attractive. Good (G): Will probably have significant wear or damage, although is still intact. Suitable for reading, but not necessarily a good gift copy. The old saying in bookselling is "good ain't good." Fair: Another term for Poor or Reading Copy: Heavily worn or damaged, a poor book will be readable but not attractive.
