Description: For sale is a long handle salad serving spoon in the SHELL & THREAD pattern by Tiffany, introduced in 1905. The spoon is 10 1/8 inches long and weighs 152 grams. The bowl is brightly gilded. It has not been monogrammed. It is marked [TIFFANY & CO.][ STERLING] [PAT. 19___]. There is a slight discontinuity in the stem; usually these are a result of handle and bowl dies that do not quite match. There is a salad serving fork of the same length, so I am guessing this is would be the matching spoon. Condition on the spoon is good. Aside from the unusual handle, there are just normal signs of use. A good serving piece in a fine old pattern!
