Description: This listing is for two etching tone prints from Bouquets by Jean Louis Prevost published by Sidney Z Lucas (SZL), New York in the 1940s. Prevost lived from 1750-1810 and was one of the most prominent French botanicals artists of his time. His beautiful collection, does Fleurs eat des Fruits is considered one of the greatest flower books of the 19th century. His watercolors and engravings show mastery and his work continues to be sought after to this day. I have print #6 Pansies, Poppies & Peonies and Roses & Iris. They make a nice set for your walls. They are in framed.
