Description: Modded gear is always interesting to have; it's cool to see how the folks who wore this stuff in action changed it up to suit their needs. In this case, whoever had this one had a velcro strip sewn to the back to accommodate a name tape. The wearer's rank is also sewn on the front - I know that was standard on patrol caps but I don't recall if that was normal for boonies or not. It's a very large size at 7 3/8. However, I wouldn't recommend this one for everyday wear, as it's quite dirty and beat up. It certainly saw a lot of use! But if you collect stuff from this period, this is ideal. -------- I am a longtime collector of Cold War military equipment. However, as the need to pay for grad school looms on the horizon, I am now selling off a good portion of my collection. Follow me to see my latest listings, and grab some fascinating history (and other stuff) at great prices! I am a collector more than a salesman, and so I'm quite happy to do whatever I can to ensure that you get what you're looking for. I'm always happy to combine shipping! Unfortunately eBay makes that process difficult sometimes, but if you can't request an invoice, go ahead and buy what you want and I will refund the difference!
