Description: On auction is a very rare mid 60's to early 70's Universal Geneve Polerouter in a beautifully preserved condition. Running on the in-house MicroRotor automatic movement from Universal Geneve in caliber 1-69. The original belt was very stiff and cracking all over, so it has been replaced by a brand new aftermarket leather strap in black. The original swiss made buckle from Universal Geneve was kept, and will be included with the watch. The original red Universal Geneve box, certificate of guarantee (empty) and World Service papers are also included. The case was ultra sonically cleaned, so everything should be very clean and ready to wear. Like with most vintage mechanical watches, i cannot guarantee an accurate timekeeping. Regulating the watch may be needed if accuracy is required. Since these are over 50 years old, a full service is highly suggested for daily use. Top loader full stainless steel case in a polished finish with a tension reinforced domed acrylic crystal. Superb cosmetic condition all around! Crown: Original polished stainless steel crown signed by Universal Geneve. Fully operational and without any cosmetic damage.Dial: Original White dial with a polished stainless steel "U" mark, polished & lumed stainless steel hands, sweep seconds hand, polished & lumed stainless steel non-numeral hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock. Ultra clean condition for its age, with no visible patina or damage. Some very light patina can be seen on the hands. The lume does not hold the charge nor glow brightly after all these years.Crystal: Original tension ring acrylic crystal with a magnifier for the date window. Superb condition for its age!Strap: Brand new aftermarket leather strap in Black with a Silver buckle in a polished finish. The original signed buckle is still available and will be included with the set. The original strap is too old to be used, but it will be included as well. Weight: 43g with the strap included.Movement: Original In-house MicroRotor automatic movement from Universal Geneve in Cal. 1-69 with 28 Jewels. Fully functional. Considering the age of these models, the movement looks very clean on the outside. No service records on this movement, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to fully service it for daily use.
