Description: Here is an Army Good Conduct Medal that is named to Robert Donald Matthews (1918-1989) He was born on March 5, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri. He lived in Kansas city and registered for the draft on October 16, 1940 and married Helen E. Scott on May 8, 1942. He officially enlisted into the Army Air Corps on November 3, 1943. I couldn't really find much specific about his service, other than he enlisted and stayed in the Air Force past WWII and until 1978. There are a few photos of him during this time and it can be surmised this is where the additional 4 knots on the medal denoting additional years of service, as he likely transferred over to the Air Force Good Conduct Medal in the early 60s. He lived in Missouri with his wife and family until his death on November 5, 1989. The medal is in good condition. It is a replacement medal given to Matthews likely in the 1970s-1980s Shipped with USPS Ground Advantage. International Shipping and combined shipping is offered.
