Description: United States Army Combat Suspenders Load Harness. Contract marked, however, very faded and hard to make out, appears to be U.S. above a maker mark above a date. Also, another large 4-digit number on the one strap as well, most likely to identify soldier. WW2 era. Very heavily worn condition with damaged areas near several edges. Additional Notes: During WW2, the US Army used standard combat suspenders (M1936 and M1944/45). These suspenders were clipped onto the WW2 web pistol belts, BAR belts, and the Garand belts to help support them when fully loaded with kit and ammunition.
