Description: Unique original US Air Force official photo of squadron patch / insignia artwork from WWI - pre WWII. This photo came with a small collection of squadron insignia photos, many of which were dated in the 1960s. I am sure that this photo was also printed in the 1960s despite the lack of a date. There is a small stained spot on the paper, visible in the listing photos. The squadron insignia is for the US Army Air Corps / Army Air Forces 409th Attack Squadron. Active from 1917-1941, previous designations include 409th Aero Squadron and 3rd Spruce Squadron. Stationed at Bolling Field and Langley Field, Virginia. This squadron was attached to the 305th Attack Group. Photographed in natural daylight. Photos may not accurately represent actual colors. Photos are of actual items you will receive.
