I removed and discarded the retaining pin for the battery compartment hinge cover release latch since it would catch on my holster. Zero issues with the battery compartment. I’m including batteries but unknown how much life they have left. My work ID number is engraved as shown in the photos so some minor cosmetic “damage” but no change in the light function.
