Description: Up for sale is a VERY LARGE, Linen Backed MAP OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY - SHOWING THE GEOLOGICAL FORMATIONS - MARYLAND GEOLOGICAL SURVEY. Wm. Bullock Clark, State Geologist. In Cooperation With U.S. Geological Survey - Charles D. Walcott, Director. 1903. Surveyed in 1898-1903. The map measures approximately 36 x 40 inches, including the border area. It is linen backed and blank on the reverse side. There are several folds across the middle and from the top to the bottom. Generally, the map is in Fair Condition. There is some age related browning and toning, as well as some spotting and other stains. There are nicks/chips/tears along the edges - the linen is fraying. Creases in the corners. Tears along the folds within the map. Other creases in the map. There are some darker stains around some of the outer edges. Other dings here and there. Please see my store for other great items.
