Description: Vintage 18-inch Green Banana Bike Seat and 25-inch Strut (Sissy Bar). The seat and strut were removed from a 1969 Schwinn Stingray that I have owned since the early 80's. I can't identify any manufacturing marks or brand names on the seat or strut but believe they are from the 70's. It is approximately 18" long, 5" at the widest part of the seat, the seat post clamp bolt is approx. 5" from the front, and the strut attachment holes are approx 2" from the back of the seat. The seat is NOT Schwinn but has nearly identical dimensions as a vintage Schwinn Stingray seat (see pictures). The seat does have one flaw on the top near the front as can be seen in the pictures, but the upholstery is otherwise in great shape. The seat pan is metal and there is a spacer inside the seat clamp to accommodate a vintage Schwinn seat post. The strut is likely not a Schwinn but again has the correct dimensions. The bottom of the strut attaches to the rear axle. From the seat attachment holes, the axle holes are 19, 20, or 21, inches away thereby making three possible adjustments in height. The sissy bar has some scratches, the chrome is worn in spots, and there is some rust. Despite the wear, it is straight and solid. Hardware to attach the strut to the seat is included.
