Description: Late 1940s navy striped rayon cocktail gown with unique collar and pockets by Ceil Chapman, favorite designer of Marilyn Monroe. Very good condition. A few stains close to left shoulder that are mostly lost in the pattern (last photograph). Scattered pin holes. Metal side zip. Large square pockets. Best fit likely sizes 8 and 10. Shoulder to shoulder is 17 inches, chest is 40 inches, waist is 30 inches, and hips are 44 inches. Waist to hem is 28 inches, and shoulder to hem is 42 inches long.
