Vintage 1950s Enicar Seapearl w/Aged Dial,Signed Crown,Brevet All SS Divers Case

Description: ***********Given that this watch is more than 60 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.*********** This seldom seen vintage 1950's Enicar Ultrasonic Seapearl has a naturally aged light almond hued "SWISS" only signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The all stainless steel case show honest wear and signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL WATERPROOF AUTOMATIC INCABLOC ENIFLEX SWISS 100/115 VaACS BREV. DEM" with "SEAPEARL" followed by "ENICAR" and "ULTRASONIC" stamped in the center. The crystal shows light scratching.While I normally show pictures of the movement's of watches I put up for sale the case back on this watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. The 21 jewels automatic movement with semi-quickset date function keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded Enicar signed non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 38 hour power reserve period. The crown winds buttery smooth. Given that this watch is more than 60 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 44 mm.A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
