Description: This beautiful, decorative fan can be used for an evening out or to hang on your wall. The fan is 17" wide when fully opened and 9.5" high. The guards on the ends of the fan are molded plastic with intricate gold and red design. The sticks are likewise molded plastic that repeat the design - see picture. We are quite sure the cloth of the fan is linen. The picture includes the name of the artist. We think the edging of black lace makes this a particularly unique fan of its time. I have owned it since I was a child in Germany brought from missionaries in Taiwan. I am embarrassed to say it has stayed in our smoke-free, pet-free home in its box over 60 years.
