Description: Absolutely gorgeous vintage, handmade kilim runner Made in Canada in the 40s, this long rag rug is stunning! striped of red, blue, green and yellow, it would make quite a statement in an entryway, a kitchen or bathroom. Traditional folk craft, rag weaving in Canada is called "catalogne" and was a way to reuse scraps of fabric for rugs, runners or blankets, using large weaving machines. condition is excellent considering its age with minimal visible wear, a few snags and the ends lengthwise, have some undone stitches.
