Description: Remember the AT&T phone stores? They were a limited speciality store in the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s found in shopping malls selling designer state-of-the art collectable unique phones manufactured by AT&T. They were high-end expensive phones for their time. This is a beauty. A roll top desk style stowaway phone. Made of solid wood with a dark oak stain and smooth satin finish. Very nice craftsmanship reminiscent of times gone by. IN WORKING CONDITION - JUST PLUG JACK INTO WORKING WALL PHONE JACK! This is a touch tone phone. The included jack plugs into the back of the phone and the other end into the phone wall jack. The phone is working. The handset has an automatic retractable cord that works as intended.Measurements: 12 inches by 8 inches, 7 inches high. Weighs 9 pounds. Ringer volume adjustment slide button on the bottom of the phone. This purchase does NOT come with the pictured box. The box is for informational purposes only. I used this phone for several years and the only issues are 2 design flaws: when the handset is extended from the base a "whooshing" sound of the wire pulling can be heard. Another flaw is that the 2 plungers sometimes stick in the down position. A little touch will release them. This phone gave me much pleasure and was a wonderful conversation piece.
