Description: This is a vintage wristwatch dating to 1946. This is handsome, clean, and in excellent condition. This Bulova A-11 type was a pilot's or navigator's watch. It has a hack set feature that stops the watch when the crown is pulled to the outer position. This dates to 1946 but the movement dates to 1943. Apparently, this is a post War civilian version sold by Bulova using unused movements originally made for the military contracts. This has been professionally cleaned and checked. The case is original and has been restored. The dial is original and untouched. The movement has just been serviced. The watch runs well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The case is 10k rolled gold p[late with a stainless steel back and it is about 30mm wide not including the crown. It is about 34mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a high quality Bulova 10AK and it has 16 jewels. The band is a new old stock 1940's US GI style canvas strap with a gold tone buckle. The total length of the watch is about 9 inches. This uses a 16mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches.
