Description: This listing is for a Vintage German Childs Building Architectural Blocks In Wooden Box w/ Slide Top that is complete. I counted over 50 pieces, but can be seen in photos. The box measures 12" x 8" x 1 1/4". I see no makers mark on it, but there are a series of numbers in 3 places as you can see in the last photo. Based on these numbers, I'm sure someone out there will know the maker. Quality made box with dovetail corners. The slide top slides freely. Many building block toys of this type were made in the Ergebirge region of Germany. The sliding top has a colored label of two boys playing with building blocks and it appears that the blocks in the box could be made into the pictured castle. The box and the contained blocks are in excellent condition and possibly never even used. Likely made in the 1920 - 1940 timeframe.
