Framed, it measures about 19.5" x 15.5". This is an original work of art titled "Nude" and signed in pencil by the artist. There is some damage and wear to the original frame, as photographed. Artist Bio: Will Seiler, born and educated in the arts in Germany, reportedly departed from Germany in 1928, embarking on a journey across Europe and various parts of the world. Following World War II, he established a permanent residence in Japan, specifically in Karuizawa. Seiler was known for his proficiency in creating etchings and paintings, primarily catering to members of the US occupation force in Japan. Unfortunately, detailed information about his later life remains unavailable. Willy Seiler remains a celebrated artist among collectors of Japanese prints, yet details about his life remain elusive. Born in 1903 in Dresden, he commenced his artistic education and continued his studies in art in Munich. Departing from Germany in 1928, Seiler embarked on what seemed to be a perpetual journey across various European countries, potentially including visits to America and Asia. Some sources suggest that he might have encountered Japan before World War II. Throughout his extensive travels, Willy Seiler seemingly sustained himself through his artistic endeavors.
