Description: Vintage Krueger Brewing Co Newark NJ Beer Celluloid Tin Round Button Sign RARE A very rare and awesome Vintage Krueger Beer Sign hat has an excellent look! Krueger was the first beer to be put into a can back in the 30s. This is a great looking sign which shows Krueger's trademark hatted K Man waiter character carrying a tray with a flat top can and bottle of Krueger. The Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company was a brewery in Newark, New Jersey founded by Gottfried Krueger and John Laible (Gottfried's Uncle) in 1858. The company produced Krueger Beer, which was the first beer to be produced in cans on January 24, 1935. By 1952, the Newark plant was producing one million barrels a year. Measures approx 9'' and is made of celluloid. Marked Philadelphia Badge Co Please note this is a vintage item and as such there may be light scratches/wear on front.
