Vintage MCM Wool Nurse's Cape Wool Navy Red Lining One Size Prop Read

Description: Vintage navy blue wool nurse's cape. red lining with interior pocket and arm slits present. Label denotes that the cape was made by Nightingale Uniform Company, which was registered in 1956, dating this cape to circa mid-century. Hospital initials on collar read "MBH." Condition: this is a wonderful cape which will require some restoration. The metal hanging chain has come undone on one side. Multiple holes are present in red lining. Collar is missing half of the closure (left side as worn.) The right side of the cape (as worn) is missing 2 buttons and the remaining buttons appear to have been replaces with large buttons reading, "Texas." Right side of cape (as worn) appears to have been patched quickly and without much skill. Please see all photos for close ups of condition. Approximate lay flat measurements: Shoulder to shoulder: 18" Length, shoulder seam to hem: 26" Note: I wear a women's medium in tops and the cape fits beautifully, though one size will probably fit most.
