Description: Vintage Mitsubishi 9850 HB JIS Pencils. A very early box marked with the price of 120yen manufactured sometime in the 1960s. The price was removed completely in a few years as the prices inflated as the release of the most expensive pencil at the time, the Mitsubishi Uni in 1958, subsequent stock listing in 1962 and the release of the Tombow Mono in 1963, the Hi Uni in 1966 and Mono 100 in 1967. Some boxes around this period had up to 3-4 price revision stickers placed over the original price tag. The last official priced marked box of 9850 pencils said 240 yen before the disappearance of the price completely.
