VINTAGE WHITE RIDDELL Z-LT (NJOP-DW) FOOTBALL HELMET FACEMASK

Description: You know you're a generational player when a company names their products after you. For sale in this auction is an awesome Riddell Z-LT (NJOP-DW) football helmet facemask. Riddell named this the "LT" because of the person most renowned for wearing this mask, Lawrence Taylor. This mask is white (Giants, Chiefs, etc.) and will only fit on helmets made to accommodate standard facemasks (AiR XP, VSR 4, etc.) This mask is extremely difficult to find!!! Although this mask was named after Taylor, he never wore the Riddell version of this mask. He only ever used Schutt. If you're a stickler for details, this isn't the mask for you. I have his 80's versions masks for sale (the green dot versions). I also have a limited supply of the first generation reverse strap versions for sale. Check those out. If you're wondering what the big difference is, you have to look at the sides of the mask. Notice how this mask has a bent, "Z" looking bar. That's how you know it's a Riddell mask. I kept the picture of LT wearing the Schutt version so you could compare the two. It's a small difference, but to someone like me who must have things as close to exact as possible, it's a massive difference. I leave those nuances up to you to decide what you are good with.
