The housing is brass and is mountable. Originally designed to be mounted in a vehicle. The clock could be removed for use on a desk or mantel as well. The clock sits on a pivot point allowing it to move along with the movements of the vehicle. The face of the clock measures 3.5 inches in diameter and is marked, "CHELSEA CLOCK CO. BOSTON U.S.A.". Along the bottom edge and hidden by the bezel is the marking "MADE IN AMERICA".The clock winds easily and runs smoothly.
