Description: Moon Mullins & Kayo toothbrush holder or pencil cup, AS FOUND. Moon Mullins is a daily Chicago Tribune comic strip which ran from June 19, 1923, to June 2, 1991. The strip's lowbrow characters reside at the Schmaltz (later Plushbottom) boarding house. The central character, Moon (short for Moonshine), is a would-be prizefighter—perpetually strapped for cash but with a roguish appetite for vice and high living. Kayo was his street urchin younger brother. Condition: Bisque porcelain is in very good condition, but paint has substantially eroded and is in poor condition. Price has been adjusted for the paint issue. No chips, flakes, breaks, mends, repairs, cracks, hairlines, blemishes, or mentionable boo-boo's. Don't feel anything amiss when I run finger around edges. No signs of previous repair or restoration.Hallmarks: "Moon Mullins & Kayo ~ FAS ~ S 5" impressed on back Dimensions: 5" Tall x 3" Wide x 3.25” Deep.
